Visit Canada

One of the objectives of the Canadian Government is to facilitate the entry of visitors. Over 5 million people visit Canada every year, as this is a wonderful country that offers numerous possibilities and opportunities.

Canada occupies most of northern North America Continent, is the world's second largest country by total area and stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the west, to the north there is the Arctic Ocean. Canada is multicultural, has a great history and an impressing relief.

In order to come to Canada as a visitor, you need a Temporary Visa. Usually the period authorized for stay is of 6 months. In some cases a person could stay longer if applies for extension of status.

However, there are persons who do not need a visa to travel to Canada, that come from Visa exempt countries. For these persons a valid passport remains a requirement, as well as satisfying an immigration officer that they are admissible.

The general requirements to visit Canada are to:

  • have a valid a passport or a travel document
  • have ties with the country of origin
  • be in good health
  • satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit
  • have enough money for your stay
  • have a letter of invitation from someone in Canada
